Insects

The insects are the least well-known faunal group at Masoala, where undiscovered species could hide under any leaf or tiny bit of bark. For this reason, Masoala is a paradise for researchers. But even the novice will revel in the discovery of species like the strange giraffe-necked beetle, giant stick insects, or other species with strange forms and striking colors.
The caterpillars of Masoala are exceptional.

The giraffe-necked beetle is one of Madagascar’s many curiosities.

Criquet

Can you find the stick insect camouflaged in the branches?
