ANGAP has delegated the operational
management of the Masoala protected area to WCS (Wildlife
Conservation Society), to ensure the park's daily operations
and compliance with regulations. The implementation of the
management plan of the park is ensured both by ANGAP and
WCS as co-managers, and also by the Ministry of Environment,
Water and Forestry, as a support institution.
The Management Office of the Masoala
National Park is based in Maroantsetra,
and is located 50m east of the big antennas in the town
center by the market. There is also a liaison office in
Antalaha, near
the Place de l'Indépendance.
